When you're not supposed to eat them, the most satiating thing you can do is to take pictures of them. Here is a story of a road trip I took with my family from MO to Chicago. The medium of choice is candy.
I thought this would be nice on wrapping paper. Loved the orange, brown and white.
I have never heard of Squirrel Nut Zippers. I took the photo because of the name, just like how I sometimes buy artwork because of its title.
Here's another one: Buttered Popcorn-flavored taffy
or this caramel cheesecake taffy
When we finally made it to Chicago, I headed straight to Trader Joe's, an old personal favorite. What'dya know? They've perfected lots of things, including the French macaron. For $4.99/box, I am not alone in singing its praises, although the vanilla-flavored ones went first. I wish they sold boxes with just vanilla or just chocolate. But moving right along...
This was my plate after a fine meal at one of our favorite sister bonding places... This was a composition of lemon balm, blackberry sorbet and lemon cheese cake.
This is what transpired after 20 or so minutes...I can't decide if I like the before or after (nicely filed in my tummy).
Here's some comforting lemon chamomile tea after this sweet post. Hope you enjoyed!
